Have you seen or know where I can find this?
In searching for coop plan ideas I found one that I really liked I thought that I saved it or a link to it but I cannot find it and I have been unable to find it in any searches since. I know that this is not a figment of my imagination because I showed it to my daughter, she also has put in hours searching for it for me.
Here are some of the details that stood out for me:
I think it was made by someone in central MN.
It was mounted on a trailer to be mobile and had self storing pull out steps. Dimensions 10'x15', that was divided into 3 area's divided by chicken wire walls; a center grain room, 2 coop area's on either side of the grain room with framed chicken wire doors to access the coop areas on each side of the grain room, there was a connective chicken wire tunnel for the chickens to move freely between the 2 coop area's installed under a workspace countertop in the grain room.
In the grain room opposite the entry door was a countertop work space with shelves above it to store stuff. Space for feed bag storage, feed and water delivery system so it could be accomplished without needing to enter either coop section. A door to each coop section.
Both coop sections had pop doors on the same side as the entry door so that the chickens could go out either to free-range or to a movable run. The coop section on the left had nest boxes installed and water. On the right coop section were the feeders and roosts. Some kind of litter clean out that went into a truck style tool box mounted on the outside of the structure making it easy to scoop out with a grain shovel when needed and used chicken lime.
There were at least 2 possible 4 windows (2 front, 2 back) and electricity.
For winter the pop door on the left was enclosed and ran to a structure that was short but shaped like a green house that you see attached to the side of a house or garage. For instance the back side was 4' tall, the 3 other sides were 2' tall and the corrugated clear Plexiglas roof was attached to the 4' tall back and the 2' tall front. It had no floor so that the chickens could scratch, sunbath and dust bath. Toward the top on the side of this solarium (?) was installed some piping (I think it was made with a length of black drain field pipe) that went back up to the coop along side the enclosed pop door access to allow the heat generated in the solarium to transfer back to the coop. He had 3 wireless thermometers in his home; 1 to monitor the outside temp, 1 to monitor the solarium temp and the 3rd to monitor the coop temp.
