My hen got attacked by a hawk today and has several puncture wounds and two gashes. I washed her up and put bacitracin on the wounds. She is separated from the others for now. I am traveling on Sunday and don't have anyone who can give medication. Is there anything I can give her for just a few days? Or should I just keep her clean and keep applying antibiotic cream until Sunday? Thanks!

I would use the antibiotic ointment until then. Do you have pictures? A wound spray or some Betadine/povidone iodine might be easier for someone else to use on her while you are gone. Is someone able to apply that? How is she doing? Is she standing, eating, drinking, and alert?

She is acting completely normal. She's my biggest girl (almost 10 pounds) and I'm so grateful that I heard trouble and ran out in time! My kids will be taking care of everyone but they aren't able to apply meds. I also have Blu Kote, I could put that on her for the next few days too. I just want to make sure I give her the best chance at healing. Thank you!
