I have some leg horns, Easter, Eggers, olive egger (looks like cuckoo Maran), Belgian d’ uccle rooster, maybe an Auricana? A mystery girl I thought was a cuckoo maran when I got her but she looks like a sapphire gem with feathered legs and much beefier. A black ostralorp that of course loves to go broody, so I let her hatch some chicks for me and I ended up with three out of three rooster crosses between the Belgian d’uccle and the Leghorns . One sweet speckled Sussex named Dottie. And one of my original girls recently passed a few months ago, possibly from water belly, and her name was Sunny. She was beautiful and I’m not really sure what she was but she looked like a welsomer (sp?). I think that about covers it!I'm glad your chickens brought you here and I hope the conversations keep you here! What kind of chickens do you keep? They definitely are endearing and fun to have around.
Welcome to BackYard Chickens!
They sound lovely! Your mystery girl sounds like a Blue Copper Marans possibly. Is she laying yet? Dark eggs? I would love one of them. I'm a sucker for blue chickens and dark eggs.I have some leg horns, Easter, Eggers, olive egger (looks like cuckoo Maran), Belgian d’ uccle rooster, maybe an Auricana?
