Since I am not the best at intros, I will go by the template for starters and add information as able/appropriate. 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
More or less? Yes. Please help guide me to make my girls happy.
I should be getting them in the next month or so.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I should be getting 6.
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Brahmas
1 Cochin
1 Australorp
2 Hybrid/Sex-Linked
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Honestly? What my friends and I call 'Chicken TV'. There is nothing like sitting out and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the chickens run around.
The eggs are a bonus.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy running, hiking, camping, dancing, and so forth.
Oh ... and naps.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a great S.O. that raises bees and supports my love chickens.
And 2 crazy pups.
(7) Tell us what you are looking for at the moment:
The Summers in Texas are BRUTAL and I want to find ways to keep the girls comfy and happy.
I also looking for Coop plans that help keep them cool.
(8) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
This forum came HIGHLY recommended by several friends that have chickens of their own.
