Hello everyone, I am new to BYC

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am very new to this. We have 9 Crevecoeur hens & one rooster we got last year from a couple that was selling their farm. We have 15 more chicks coming the beginning of May. We have 2 adult kids both married & were just blessed with our first grandbaby. Exciting times. I will be looking for help regarding one of my hens but will check the site to see if I can find the answers elsewhere first.

Thank you, I'm going to wait to see if I can get a pic of the problem, it seems to be happening every few days. We then take her out of the coop clean her up then put her back. She ends up looking like she has dreadlocks of mud hanging from the top of her head. Just don't get it. It's not wet or muddy in the coop. But my chickens hardly ever go outside the coop to the open fenced area. Maybe once it gets warmer here in MN they will.
