Glad to meet you, Leah. Best wishes with your plans. You are wise to limit the number of birds in an Egglu. Those things are little. You could choose bantams or consider coturnix quail, and they would have more space, because they are so little.

Thank you for the input! I plan to wait for it to arrive so I can really tell how small it is and avoid getting birds that will be too big to be comfortable in it. Either way I hope for it to ultimately be a temporary home and to later expand my flock just a tiny bit after I am sure I can manage something bigger.

Thank you! They are all watercolor. I do "cheat" a bit and use white gel pen on some of the hilights. I like oil pastels as well but haven't quite gotten the hang of those as well as I want to.
