Hi !! It's nice to now be part of the community and meet y'all. I'm looking forward to learning great new ideas and information to raising my newest members hatch date in about 14 days. I've not raised chickens in three years. Now I am currently starting back with preparation ahead ensuring the old coops are still in great condition and predator safe. I will be making adjustments to one of the larger coops and smaller coops as I am challenging myself to raise these other breeds.
Docile egg layers were my past and I know that some of these new chickens need a lil extra TLC and looking out for. All my past chickens have free ranged due to having several acres , but I'm going to incorporate a few runs to ensure the smaller breeds are safe, feeling comfortable along with happy. I'm currently incubating Malaysians, Polish, Ayam, and Silkies. I have Rhode Island Reds, 2 breeds of Leg horns, Cochins, Olive Eggers, and Americanas.
