How do we do that? A separate run or coop and run?Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out. Roo's can go long ways to protecting the flock.
Might want to make a special yard he can be alone as hormone kick in.
I'd wait and see how he does, but his hormones will kick in and sometimes it's not pretty and the hens will be brutalized. If nothing happens but awkward breeding, then you're fine. Most of the time though it seems many of us have to pull the young rooster(s) out for a few weeks or months even. Yes, a separate run and hutch for at night.
