Hello from New Mexico!

Hello all-

Long time reader and new member here! I am excited to become a part of the community I have turned to for advice and suggestions for so long.

I have owned my own chickens for about four years, and currently only have two hens (black jersey giant, laced Wyandotte) and one rooster (blue copper maran). They live with five geese, and twelve ducks. Our chickens are mostly free range, and have a silly habit of laying their eggs under our stairs.

We are located in northern/central New Mexico, and have two cats and two dogs along with the birds. The older dog keeps coyotes and other predators away, and the younger dog is learning how to help. Our geese are also determined to raise the alarm whenever a visitor arrives, or they see us coming to top off food/water.
