Hi! My wife and I just got four chickens recently and we love them! Our Welsummer, Dominique, and Buckeye are a little over three weeks old and our Buff Orpington is only a few days old. We are totally new to chicken raising but are exciting about our new pets, as well as getting some eggs from them later in the year. When we read about raising chickens, we were so amazed at what awesome creatures they are! We're so excited for our daughter to grow up with these birds.
I started researching, with the help of a friend, a variety of chicken coops and settled on one I saw in a book. I've been obsessed with building it, modifying it, improving it, etc., over the past few weeks. I'm looking forward to our chicks moving in there in a few more weeks.
