Hello! I have new babies

16 straight run Brown Leghorns and one probably Blue Cochin, all 3 weeks old today, no adults currently. I have had the odd chicken now and again before, mostly semi-adopted urban feral hens, but this will be the first real flock. We bought them cause eggs were almost a buck apiece for jumbos and we have already eaten most of the squirrels and coons on our property and we are getting tired of crabs, catfish, and shrimp all the time. Price of chicken in the store is crazy. Beef? Can't afford that anymore. Now eggs are going down a bit. AFTER we commit to starting a flock, of course, but now they will be OUR eggs, our fryers, and our capon roasters and OUR rooster waking us up hopefully not TOO early in the morning.
