Little freeloaders!

Happy I've changed their pee-pee pads and given fresh chick starter. Yes. They use their toys at 4 days old. They're musical, athletic geniuses.

Dot is front, left. She's little but feisty. And the only one I've yet named.

Here's my girl, Dot, doing what she loves most. Hanging with the giant.

I'm a lil nervous. I grabbed clean dirt and sifted the big chunks out with a colander, added dry, washed-river sand from the run and sprinkled a little hickory wood ash on the pile and stirred. The chicks love it, only 1 knew to waller in it. The rest ate it. I sprinkled a little on their backs then I removed the pan after 3 mins or so. Too much too early?
