(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I've had chickens for 6 years
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Currently down to 7, but adding 6 new ones this week
(3) What breeds do you have? Silkies, Pekins and a couple of brown layers. I'm adding Black Copper Marans, Salmon Faverolle, Lavender Araucana, Silver Dorking and an olive egger hybrid.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Their quirky (and very different!) personalities!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Bird watching
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I live with my husband and two older teenage sons, and we have three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I think originally it was by googling various chicken related questions, but I decided to join so I can ask some questions of my own!
