Hello!!!

I am new to chickens, having only gotten some exactly a week ago today. We plan on getting laying hens after this batch is gone.

I currently have 25 broiler chickens that are being raised for show and auction for their meat.

I am not sure what breed my broilers are, but they are of white plumage.

I love being able to easily access my chickens and ensure that the meat I am eating has been grown soundly. Also, taking care of something gives me much responsibility that I love and crave.

Besides chickens, I mostly write poetry and short stories, play videogames, and go to the gym often.

I am a student and I have one mutt dog

I found BYC after asking Google a bunch of chicken questions—I happened upon this site and joined it because of the profound knowledge freely laid in the palms of my hand!
