Help, 5 month old turkey ate my daughters ear ring.

As the title states my daughters pet turkey pecked at her ear ring and it came off and he ate it. My daughter is absolutely hysterical and crying thinking he's gonna die. So my question is will he be ok? Will it pass through? Should I do something to help? I felt his neck best I could and I don't feel anything poking out so must of went down. Turkey is 5 month old white one. Was intended for dinner but she loves it more than anything so it's been pardon. Thanks

How big is the earring? If its quite small it would probably pass in his droppings.

Quarantine him so you can collect his scat. You'll see that earring again in a day or two.

It'll likely stay in the gizzard and get ground up, the bird will be fine.

Don't worry. Over the years I lost several earrings similar and even bigger to the one of your daughter to curious young chickens that decided to snack on them.
I was never able to retrieve them as they probably have been grinded up in their gizzards.

My earring snacking hens lived to be 5,5 and 7,5 and 9 years old.
