Hi, what does aspirating mean?Good idea!
@Rk04 I'm sorry about your chick.
I know it's hard, but some chicks fail to thrive. If possible, getting some Nutri-Drench to have on hand is good. You don't really want to syringe fluids into a tiny chick like that - drop a drop beside their beak and let them take it in or you can dip a qtip in the liquid and press it against the beak, let them take the liquid in. By syringing you risk them aspirating.
Green poop in a just hatched chick can be normal. First poops are often green. IF the green color continues for a couple of days, then I would be concerned.
Aspirating means to breathe/inhale in - so in this case we are talking about aspirating fluids - choking or breathing (inhaling) fluids into the airway.Hi, what does aspirating mean?
