We had one chick hatch late friday/early saturday. Another pipped around the same time and unzipped then hasnt moved or chirped in 12+hrs. It has brown spots around the membrane that looks pretty thick. There is another one that pipped later and unzipped but then stopped and now is all brown. There is a fourth that pipped this morning and is chirping/moving. Should I pull out the brown one or the one with brown spots? I pulled the chick out because it was knocking the others over including the last one that pipped. We are on day 22

In my last hatch this chick had pipped and zipped but after a couple of hours of clearly struggling to push out I held it over my streaming container and helped it out, it was shrink wrapped it needed a bath to clear its eyes and head.
He was clearly struggling to push out after 3 hours of staining that's the only reason I helped

For the brown one or brown spots: Can you peel a little of the shell away (help it start zipping) to see what's going on? You can peel membrane, too - VERY SLOWLY and stop the moment you see a drop of blood - are they still alive?
The fourth one that pipped this morning, leave it alone until morning. If there's no progress, then start an assisted hatch:

The fourth one hatched after i pulled back some of the shell a bit. The other two I checked and weee sadly gone

Thanks for the update, sorry for the two little ones you lost! But I'm glad you have two left, so they don't have to be alone. I've lost a few along the way exactly as you described. Not sure why, there are so many variables in incubation that can cause death before hatch.
