Help! Gosling Hatched with Exposed Yolk Sac & Umbilical Cord

Help! My gosling hatched earlier today but didn’t absorb its yolk sac & umbilical cord! It’s moving around and making noises but this situation concerns me. It also looks as if the cord is about to break off as well. What do I need to do???

Put it in a mug and keep it in the incubator if possible.

Leave it in the incubator. It needs time to absorb the rest of the yolk and the umbilical cord will fall off naturally which is fine, but do not try to cut or pull on it.

I don’t know much about a situation like this except that it needs time to absorb the yolk, if you can keep the baby in a bowl and keep the yolk warm and moist.

How is the gosling doing this morning? Hopefully you were able to get it into something so it wouldn't rupture the yolk sac
