I have a chicken who had an impacted crop yesterday, she's been pooping out grassy, stringy poop, and is now not pooping and constipated. How to I perorm an olive oil enema?

If you have a syringe that is a slip tip, meaning has a section that points out instead of screw onto a needle hub, you can use that. Fill the syringe with olive oil & gently warm it under running hot water. Then lube up the end of the syringe before inserting into the bottom of the chicken - then slowly squirt the olive oil into the chicken.

A slip tip syringe looks like this:

Thanks.. I tried that. Been about 20 minutes. Nothing. Her waddles are pale and she is kind of slumped up. I also gave oliv oil orally and have been massaging the crop.. Still not better. The contents seemed to have loosened up but it doesn't seem like she's dogesting anything. She's not eating anything. :/ It only seems to have been going on for the last day. I can't imagine she's eaten anything that would cause this so suddenly. Any advice?

An enema is unlikely to help... If she were mine I would try tubing sugar water to her. Once hydrated, I might try a Colace gel cap (DSS).

Are those available over the counter? She's just declining. I don't understand how she can be this sick after just a day of impaction. :/

Colace is OTC at most human drug stores, but I would not give it unless I was prepared to try tubing fluids first.

She seems realllllly sore on her back end.. Right under the vent by those two bony structures. She sits down on me when I touch her there. She laid yesterday, and it isn't swollen or hard. I've been stringing her fluids all morning, she will take that willingly but won't drink on her own. Her crop isn't hard anymore, but it seems pretty squishy. Her total GI system just seems messed up. Started with impacted crop, to sour crop, to constipation? No idea. She is still just pooping water, and her droppings last night were small and grassy. I just love this little bird. :(
