I have a bantam chicken that we found injured on the side of the road I rehabbed her back to health but her leg still isn't strong she doesn't use it very much and my other chickens pick on her to the point that her head was bleeding and cut so I separated her and have her in a coop of her own but I am worried about the cold weather here in NJ :( Any suggestions on keeping her warm?

If she is injured, I would either try to insulate the coop more, bring her inside, put a heat lamp in (probably no best idea), or take one of the smaller, lower ranked chickens, and put them together as long as they can get along. Put some apple cider vinear in her water too. Chickens love the taste, so it will encourage her to drink, and it has important vitamins and minerals that should help. I agree in giving her high protein food. Sometimes i'll give my chickens scrambled eggs with the ground up shells for extra calcium.

I like wire dog crates placed inside the coop to separate a chicken. You can place a low roost in them as well, plus food and water. That is also a good way to get the others used to her, so that she can later be free to join them.
