Help, I'm hatching and I can't stop!!

You guys are too much, I don't feel so bad, I just picked up a sportsman I bought on ebay because my first sportsman is always full and can't hatch as many chicks as I have commited. So now 2 sportsmans and a GQF hatcher should scratch the hatching itch. I just checked on them and 15 of the 56 day olds I am shipping out tomorrow and Tuesday are already out, many others are are pipped and several are zipped. I took the desire to hatch and made it a hobby that enables me to hatch more, someday I might have the “chickens” buy a nice dinner for my wife and I at a really nice restaurant.... someday. As for now I'll let it buy me another sportsman.

Ok my turn

Hi my name is crazychicken.

I have a hova-bator still air, it will hold 200+ eggs

Right now It is empty

it has been empty but out and ready for months.

My parents whom unfortunately I have to live with did not get bit by the magical chicken bug. and are not addicted. I don't know what happened with them.

I have hatched 8 or 9 times and I am hooked.

Owning a flock of four my parents put their feet down and said no more which makes me sad.

And now I am forever looking on craigslist and ebay looking at eggs or chicks or adults hoping that this will be the time they say yes. and in that eternal hope that this will finally be the time. I have my incubator clean and at the ready. just in case

Ok my name is magikchick. I had a homemade bator and everything was fine. But soon it wasn't enought so I borrowed a LG from a friend still wasn't enought. I had to go buy a hovabator and still keep the LG. Now I'm thinking Dickie or Sportman.

I can't seem to stay off of the eggs for sale threads or eggbid. Then my friend called and offered me quail and silkie eggs.

I have 36 chicks split between 2 brooders and 41 eggs in the bator. Thank goodness I don't have one of those that holds 200 eggs, yikes! I never thought I would get hooked on hatching, so much for that idea! I don't think you stop til your bator breaks or someone forces you to lol.

I don't think you'll get much help to stop here. LOTS of encouragement to GO GO GO for it though....
