My puppy is driving me and my partner crazy. This is out 5th puppy and we did not have any real issues with our others, jus the normal puppy stuff.

This one is out of control. Sometimes we have to leave the house just to get a break away from her.

For example, this morning

Got up 6am to let the puppy out. In its crate were 2 poops and lots of wee. While cleaning that up I put the puppy and my other dog outside. All the time the puppy was screaming and scratching at the door to get in.

When I finished cleaning up I went outside to walk up the country lane with the puppy and dog, so it could go to the toilet. It peed a few times. Got back into our house and while I was filling there food bowls the puppy sits at me feet and does a huge poop. I tell it NO and put it outside.. again with the screaming.

Clear that up.. let them in.. puppy barking crazy at other dog and steals its food. It won't let my older dog eat and forces her away from the food bowl by constant barking. Won't eat its puppy food. Put it in its play pen with its own puppy food.. screaming barking none stop.. then a huge pee.

I put her outside and get a shower. When I finished I call the puppy back inside. surprised its not screaming and barking the door. It does not come. Strange. I find it tearing up my best shirt from the drying washing!!!

This is the sort of thing that happens every day...and its only been 2 hours since I got up!!! and now is one month I have had her.

She is over the top with my other dog and when it does not want to play the puppy will bite hard and hold on to its neck... and jump at its face constantly barking loudly till the other dog is cornered with its face into the wall. It just does not know when to stop, or take the signs that the dog or me don't want to play at that time.

If it try to pick up the puppy it will run away and run circle around me, not coming close, and barking really loudly at me. I have never hit of hurt her. If I manage to pick her up when she does not want to be picked up she will wiggle and growl.. then start to bite my hands hard. I have always waited till she calms down before putting her down.

Nothing seems to be working the way it should. I ignored the screaming and barking in the crate, outside, etc.. but she will get worse and worse and start to throw herself around... sometimes the screaming will go onto several hours.

It can't be separation anxiety.. because the crate is in the same room as me.. and I will sit beside it watching the TV so she can even touch my leg through the bars... its just because she wants to get out and play.

She just does not seem to have a nice personality... for example, she will come near me, stare me in the eyes and bark frantically if she wants to play... and won't stop.

She is also super destructive... just turn my back a second she is ripping off the skirting boards, peeing and ripping up the rug, chewing the sofa.. despite having dozens of different toys and junk to chew and play with.

Will this get better or worse?!!! I feel am really starting the resent this spoilt brat of a puppy.. then I feel really bad at myself for feeling like that.

Any help or advise from people how have owned a puppy like this?

Thank.

I have trained many dogs over the years. The one we have now is the worst. She is a year and a half old, and she is starting to get better. She doesn't chase chickens anymore. She is still hyper and annoying. She still tries to heard children with nipping. She bit the mailman the other day. Some dogs have better personality traits than others. She protects the garden, because if it moves she will chase it! She also protects the chickens, for the same reason. I just wanted to clarify that we do love her, and she is a terrier mix small dog. She doesn't attack anyone, just that annoying nipping at your ankle thing terrier dogs do! I just wish she would not do that to guests! She loves us though!

Every puppy is different. What breed? It sounds like it is too much dog for you to handle. Sounds like it also probably needs more exercise and structure. It should be fed on a schedule in order to get it to go to the bathroom on a schedule. Some pups need lots of exercise or else they will be destructive. I definitely would enroll in a puppy class in your area in order to get some help.

Two thoughts here;
Find her another home, because this is not the right dog for you, and there's a better fit out there. Things don't always work out.
Second thought; This is a learning opportunity for you, and no future dog will be as difficult. If it's worth it (and I'm not at all sure it is) then GET HELP, and move forward.
She's running your life, and you should be running her life! Get her to the veterinarian's (hope there is one!) and check for worms and check for a urinary tract infection. No sick puppy can do well.
Schedule her life; meals, potty trips, crate time, play time. Be firm! Three chew toys at a time only, and no free time running around the house. She hasn't earned the next room, much less the whole house! Baby gates, or tie her leash to your belt. Never out of sight!
Nothing positive happens for being rude and barking at you! Be consistent!

Sounds like your puppy needs some puppy obedience training. Puppies are cute and we humans laugh and ooh and aww when they do cute things even if they are bad things. Consequently, the puppy will continue to do it because it got a good reaction. Don't let her train you. As for pooping, puppies usually go potty when they get up from sleeping, after playing and after eating. I'm surprised she actually dirtied her crate, dogs usually do not potty where they eat or sleep. I would make sure there is nothing medically wrong there.
