Hey! I need help determining the sex of my new Muscovy ducks. I got the three older ones (the two black ones and the all white one) on May 19th of this year and they already had most of their feathers grown in. The all white one was a runt so he was very small and his wing feathers were still growing in while the black ones seemed to already have all their wing feathers. The two with the tan heads I got on May 23rd of this year and they were still pretty small with not many feathers at all. They had like white fur/fuzz rather than feathers but were said to be 8-9 weeks. They were both vented by the previous owner and she said "99% chance they're girls". They seem to be a little larger than the older ones but I don't doubt it because the mom was on the larger side and the dad was MASSIVE. I've tried determining the sex myself but I've always dealt with chicken and I'm very new to ducks. I've tried to include as many helpful pictures/videos as possible so please let me know what you think! Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

They all look like girls to me. Guys will have a little tail curl.
Not in the muscovy breed. Drakes don't get the feather curl.
@Noah209 how old are they? By 6 weeks it should begin to be a noticeable difference in size with drakes and females. The females legs will be closer together under her body where the drake has a wider stance. Females make a pretty trilling sound drakes huff.

The Muscovy males will have bigger feet and more oblong body. Their feet will look like clown feet at this age if they are male. They almost look like they stumble over them. Muscovy male's heads are also more bulky. The males, as they grow, sit down a lot more.
Not sure if they are old enough, but the males will make hiss sounds or what I like to call a huffing quack where as the females will continue to peep. But, if they are still young, they will all sound the same.

I got the two with the tan heads May 19th and they were said to be 8-9 weeks so they should be at least 15 weeks by now. The other three will be a week or two older. I've been reading about the huff/hiss but so far, I haven't heard any do that. @Miss Lydia @Crazy Maizie Thanks for the information! They're around 4 months so based on that and the videos are either of you able to make an educated guess? I've tried to watch the stance and voices of each duck but I feel like my "guess" changes every hour or so.

Sorry, I didn't see the videos until just now. So they are between 15-17 weeks? Their legs look like #2 pencils vs the big thick kindergarten pencils and they are still peeping? I'd venture to guess females if they are all relatively the same age. But, I will add that my guesses aren't 100%. :old In one pic, the body looked more elongated like I would see in a male, but all of them have tiny caruncles - so still pointing to females.

Have you checked out this link? https://www.raising-ducks.com/determining-muscovy-gender/
If I remember right, a byc member created the blog. It does help.

Yea they are all fairly close in age. The two ones with the tan head are slightly larger (even though they're younger by about a week or two) but I believe that's just because the parents were both huge. I have read through that, but I am still unable to find any clear-cut differences between mine. It seems much easier in theory then when I go back there and actually look at them, I'm lost. Thanks for your help! I can provide more pictures/videos from different angles if that'll help. @Crazy Maizie @Miss Lydia
