Good day all,
I bought three sexed chicks at the start of May, one of which was marketed to me as a French Cuckoo Maran. I have been watching her grow and have been shocked by a number of developments, which is why I am now seeking opinions from you all :}

First off, she is off-black. Her feather edges are deep black, but the body is a dark smoke with a very faint blue/white tint and absolutely no barring or variegation. Next up, I thought she had extra toes! Nope, just *really* feathered feet! She chirps with a much more musical tone than the Olive Egger chicks I got with her. And lastly, she seems to be growing a lot slower than the Olive pullets she is being raised with.

Bonus is- are my Olive eggers actually pullets?
I feel the orange collared on has a comb that makes me lean pullet, but the brown one has me double checking that she is actually female! They are ~6.5 weeks old!

Maybe a mystic onyx? They are a silkie cross they commonly have black skin and feathered feet. Yours doesn’t appear to have a head tuft or extra toe often associated with mystic onyx but I don’t think those are required. Anyway that’s the best guess I have.
