Help me ! My duck foot have problem!

my male duck is 1 year old
his foot started to Distance falling and went worst and worst.

i thought its niacin deficiency so i gave it to him
it stopped develop.
after that 3 months later his hinge Swolled.
i didnt pay attention but it make problem for his walking.
he slips off and cant keep balance.
someone told me he have calsium deficiency and Infection on his hinge.
but im not sure. his hinge is soft and feel like a little water in it.
please help!!!

Could be tendon is there heat with swelling an fluid? On the duck forum we rec liquid b complex when a duckling has leg weakness but for a 1 yr old if there is fluid I think a vet might be best. Do you remember him getting an injury or having a cut or scrape in the past few months?

he injured by a rooster.he had scars on his body and even his eye.but not his foot.It's back before that.he had foot problem since he was a baby.but not his hinge. its new problem

I had something similar with my chicken and had to put her down because of it. She lost use of one leg, recovered and then all of the sudden lost use of both her legs. As long as he can walk and eat and drink, he might just be like that forever. I didn’t want to watch my chicken suffer whilst keeping her alive for my own benefit, but the choice is yours to make.

I hope your duck will be ok, he looks goofy and sweet!

Sounds like there maybe infection if there is fluid and if you can take him to a vet they can draw some fluid out and determine what antibiotic to put him on.
