Our chickens are not eating. We have tried to give them food but they do not eat it! We have switched them to layer and they have eaten it fine the last week or two and now the won’t eat. They will eat cherry's and scraps but not their food which provides the most nutrients for them. And they have not eaten hardly any food the past days. HELP.

Thanks so much! They are eating the mush. One question though how should I transition back to solid food?

Cut out all other treats/foods. Give your feed a smell test, if it's not moldy then they're being "selective" which is why I say stop ALL treats/table scraps. All they get is their feed. 2x micstrachan, you can make a mash (feed + water) out of their feed, they'll probably like that.

You may want to update your profile with your location, possible some weather changes or hotter than usual?

My dog holds out every night and doesn’t eat his dinner until we are doing the dishes, just in case there’s an extra scrap for him. The chickens are the same way.

They can eat mash any time. Except in a very cold winter; their food would freeze. I feed mine dry with some wet (fermented, in my case) food on top.
