HELP! My Dogs love Chicken Poo!

You all are kill'in me, I can't stop laughing, and I keep interrupting the presidental debate to read your threads to my DH. My dogs have all eaten every poop that has been dropped on the ground. The horse poop is understandable to a point because a lot of horse feeds have molassis in it, but cow pies...yuk and I couldn't believe it when my very sweet and timid black lab started following the chickens around. At first I thought how sweet she likes them....yea, she was following to get the poo fresh.

) My dogs think cat candy and chicken chuckles are the best snacks in the world:sick. We had to put up a sliding barrier with a hole in it for the cat to get to his litterbox unmolested! At least that's not an issue, and I get lots of lower body workout stepping over the bleepin' thing to get to the laundry room. Now if only the Airedale would keep the chicken chuckles out of her beard- the Ridgeback is SOOO much neater about it!

Sounds like I am not alone! I tried brushing the dogs teeth and they acted like I was going to kill them! I gave up on that idea. Thank God my favorite little Chihuahua who licks me constantly is not interested in the chickens or the poop-he is my prissy little mamas boy. Thanks for lots of laughs!

My dog sneaks off to the back room wheere the litter box is thinking no one is noticing, then 5 minutes later he sticks his head out from around the corner smacking his lips with litter allover his face.....GROSS! And not chicken poop, but goose poop is his FAVORITE to roll in, and that is THE most disgusting smell EVER. He gets at least 4 baths a week b/c of this, if not he would have to be an outside dog, even then you can smell him a mile away.

Our Black Lab used to think he was sneaky. He'd go into the litter box to get kitty truffles. And come in looking innocent, with hi nose covered in litter.
Our new dog, I had hope for her. It took her a while, but she likes digging for treasure in the catbox. Chicken poo must taste better, because she really goes after that. She stopped trying to eat the chickens when she realized they were the source of her treats. Now she tries to follow them around to get fresh treats. If she goes running to the door, I know it means she found a good one, and is hiding it in her mouth till we get inside .

We have to keep a baby gate in front of the bathroom door to keep the dang dogs out of the kitty litter. Without fail, once a day someone won't put it back up and there will be kitty litter scattered all over the floor, and a happy beagle licking his lips. EWWWW

The dogs beg now to be let out as soon as I let the chickens out, because they know the chickens= poop and can't wait to get out to lick the concrete on the porch.

No doggie kisses allowed in this house. YUCK.

My pomeranian never had any interest in any kind of poo. Turned his head away when we're on walks. Until that is, he discovered chicken poop. They share the same yard. He will actually follow the chicken line until one of them drops one. Then it's all over. He either licks it up or rolls in it right away. Little blackened necks and snout. THEN comes and asks for petting.

On the bright side, I now have a new treatment option for pasty vents.

No more snuggling on the bed with mama.
