my rooster is the SWEETEST thing he is so nice to me but he has started ataccing people lately. I don't know how to stop this bad habit. any suggestions welcome.

Well, he is probably going to start attacking you eventually. Once they start, the aggression tends to grow. There will be people that come on here and advocate training, but IMO once they start attacking people, they don't quit, and certainly not to the point you can trust them.

I would cull him, I do not enjoy an aggressive bird to people or other birds. Your other option is to securely pen him up if other people are going to be around. I think he should be considered like an aggressive dog. You might be liable for an emergency room if needed by your visitors. You don't really say who he is attacking.

I AM NOT KILLING HIM!!!! he has done this be fore. I have stopped him. do roosters attaked new people normally?

Roosters weigh up people. They tend to attack children first, then women, and they adult males. The aggression tends to get worse and worse, more and more violent. Children can take an attack in the face, and roosters have ruined the whole chicken experience for a lot of people.

You don't have to kill him, but I would strongly recommend locking him up so that he is not attacking other people.

You may have curtailed his attacking people in the past, but you really cannot cure him to the point that you can trust him. If he gets an opportunity, he will be attacking again, generally each time, more violently than before. That is what I think has happened. He was aggressive, you did some training, now he is aggressive again. That is a pattern common with aggressive roosters.

I get it. You are not killing him. But
he has started ataccing people lately.
Then he is a risk to people.

he has done this be fore. I have stopped him.
Temporarily, but it did not last.

Some do, some don't. Sounds like yours does.

I've trained a rooster to not attack me but that did not stop him from attacking the chicken sitter. They can certainly be very sweet to some people and not others. Young children, the elderly, or infirm are at a higher risk of injury than others but a rooster can injure anyone. There is no way I'd keep a known human aggressive rooster anywhere my grandkids could come into contact with him. It's not just the potential lawsuits from others, I don't want my grandkids to be injured or have a lifelong fear of chickens after a brutal attack.

He is yours and you can do as you wish. But I suggest you lock him up so he cannot get at new people and maybe old people.
