I have a chicken who we inherited with the house so I have no idea how old she is. I noticed 3 days ago that she was sitting down and quiet, yesterday I brought her in as I picked her up and she feels light - she has lost a lot of condition.

She is very quiet but still standing, has had the odd mouthfuls of food - I made her oats and eggs. This morning she had a few mouthfuls of sardines but barely anything.

I have put an antibiotic and cocci treatment in her water but am wondering if I could be crop feeding her to try and get her eating properly again. I also just wormed her so I have covered all options.

She has no lice or other apparent injury. First poo this morning looked relatively normal but I will post a picture of the second

If you don't know here age, it is possible that she is just old and is reaching the end of her time. They will stop eating once they decide it's time to go. It's still good to check for everything else though, if she's a young chicken then something could be medically wrong. Mites are definitely a good place to start looking.

Any white vent discharge? What is her temperature? Check for mites?
No discharge, no mites and I have never checked a chickens temperature. Putting her back down after examining her she is a little unsteady on her feet but I think that is because she hasn't been eating and is weak

The poop looks normal for not eating, mostly liquid and white from water but not a lot of solid. My first thought is that it doesn't look like sick poop, just a natural outcome of her behavior. You might just have an old hen. If it's possible to take her to a vet, that might be your best option to know for sure.

No mites, I can't find outwardly anything wrong.

I just contacted her previous owners and apparently she is an ex battery hen and is approaching 4 or 5 so sounds like it might be old age
