Hello! I posted about 4 weeks ago with four Polish babies, and since that time, two have revealed their genders (1 pullet, 1 cockerel)! Now we are left with these two babies, who one day seem to be a pullet and the next a cockerel! Any and all help is appreciated, as we can only keep one or two roos!

Thanks again! :)

The one that we already now is a pullet is the only one that seems to have a ball-like crest which is why I have no clue about these two!

Just because here is the pullet... she is a Buff Laced
Roosters have more of an upward crest, and pullets have more of a ball shaped crest that goes around their head

GLP = cockerel
BCWP = cockerel
Both birds have the thin, pointed feathers coming out of their crest instead of the the wide round feathers like the Buff Laced you posted in the pic above. Also, note how large and thick their legs are. All beautiful birds! But, yes, three roos is pushing it if you don't have enough hens, even two sometimes doesn't work.

Wow! Oh my! All of them are so beautiful! :love The buff hen is gorgeous! I could only guess at the other two and I would guess the Black-crested is a hen and the Gold-laced is a roo!

Right now I have eight 4 week old Polish chicks, 4- blue/white crested and 4- golden laced, and judging from the head feathers I would have half roos and half pullets! Can't really tell because just when we think one is a hen, a couple of days later she looks like a roo! I really don't care because I told my hubby we are keeping them all and he is quite taken with the gold laced chicks anyway! :love

They are so cute and small! How many weeks are they? Always wanted a White Crested Blue Polish but they were always so sold out when we went to go buy them! For your sake I hope that you have more than 4 pullets.... Polish pullets have always ended up so sweet for me!

I know what you mean! If you go into their run and call them they will actually fly up into your arms! That worked out great when one of them accidentally got into the adult run and was screaming for help! Needless to say when it saw me it came running and jumped right into my arms! :love They are 4 weeks old today!
