Hello everyone. :) I am new to the community, but I'm super excited to be a part of it!
I am an elementary STEM teacher in GA, and we have a coop at school. Our flock is currently sitting at 11 birds, and while I would love more, our coop holds a max of 14.
We had an arrangement with a local farmer who would give us fertilized eggs, let us hatch them at school, and then take back any chicks we did not want to keep. This May, we successfully hatched 7/12 eggs, and I kept 2 chicks that I *THOUGHT* were pullets. (It's the first time in 3 years my sexing technique was incorrect :() As my two new babies have grown, it has become very apparent that they are roosters. We already have a mature rooster in our flock, and I am concerned about fighting and injuries as my two new boys get older and their hormones start kicking in. Does anyone have any contacts who might be willing and able to help me rehome our roosters? Thanks in advance!
