1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
4 year old RIR, weight normal

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
She's eating, drinking normally

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? Just noticed today

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? Thankfully, no

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Unknown

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Normal

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Seems slightly runny, butt feathers messy

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? 20 mins in warm Epsom salt soak. "Egg" not releasing. The "egg" is very bumpy, firm but not as hard as normal egg

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Does much as we can at home. Avian vet is not an option.

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use She's in covered run, coop bedding is hemp.

Can you post some pictures of her vent? Is she able to pass any droppings? Can you give her a human calcium citrate tablet or Tums orally to help her muscle contraction? Has she been laying normally until now? Have you seen and soft or shell-less eggs, or any lash egg material? If the object is out side the vent, you will need to find the oviduct opening to try and maneuver the egg out. Keep the red prolapse tissue moist at all times with honey, oil, or sugar with a couple drops of water.
