Please can anyone help.
I have a 3 week old Aylesbury duckling. She keeps falling over/ tripping up on her own feet. One minute shes ok then she fall over. She is alot smaller than the other Aylesbury duckling which is from the same batch of eggs and hatched the same day
( I incubated them myself) I have given her extra Niacin, given extra mealworms, peas, sprouts, greens, and brewers Yeast in her Chick crumb, .
Any advice really really appreciated. Wondering if iShould I splint her leg? And if so how?

Hello. I had the same problem with my Pekin ducklings. One was perfectly healthy and the other was tripping and had a breathing disorder. I actually had to separate the two because one was pecking at the unhealthy one. I am not at all an expert on this but if you have the space and supplies, one thing I would do differently for now Is separate them before they get antsy. And make sure you give her extra water. Try cutting up veggies and grass as well and hand feed her to make sure she’s eating. I hope for the best!

Awwww thank you soooo much for such a fast reply. X

And does she have a curled foot? Sometimes their feet get curled inside the egg
She was stuck in the egg over 48 hours as ,she was hatching towards the floor i and going nowhere! In the end I turnt the egg round a little, left it again and still no luck getting out. So I had to help her after waiting over 48 hours.

Oh wow, well I’m very glad she made it out of the egg at least. I would keep checking up on her and maybe if you are still concerned try helping her leg out a bit with something like a piece of Small cardboard and some form of bandages. Then take it off about every week and see how it goes.
