I have 3 baby chicks, 3 weeks old and i just found 2 of them pecking at the 3rd one. He has some blood from it. What should i do?? I also lifted him and noticed he has a bald belly and the others have feathers on them. Should i be worried? And what could i put on the wound? I honestly have no way of separating them without having one or the other 2 without heat.

Do you have a pic of their brooder? Would be good to add some things to keep them occupied. A mirror, some red dots drawn on the wall to peck at, a semi-thick branch to roost/jump on…

If you have neosporin WITHOUT pain relief, you could put that on the injury.

What type of heat source are you using? Please post a pic of the setup if you can.

Getting ready to clean it but heres the brooder. They have a heat plate as heat. But during the day they dont seem to get under it that much. It’s about 72F inside the brooder.

Looks good! Heat plates are great. If you add a few of the things I mentioned you can get them paying attention to other things instead of your poor chick. Even a small piece of wood block or anythign they can climb on. I had one chick that would peck everyone and when I drew the red spot on the wall she would peck at it all day & leave everyone alone. 😂

Definitely will!!, i had a roosting bar about a foot high in the brooder but had totake it down a while ago because they would jump up to fall down on the others and start a fight😂, and about the belly should i be worried or could that be normal? The other 2 seen to have feather on that area.

The lack of feathering is normal - it's uniform underneath so I would clean up any feathers that aren't clean and fluffy. Make lots of roosts at varying heights. They are at the age where they are ready to rock and roll and need more to do. We used to put things like apple wedges and kale in one of those bird seed brick cages and hang it- but simply tying everything together tight with twine and suspending it from above will create a tasty toy that moves and provides entertainment. (no apple seeds though!!!!!!!)
