Hi,

I received a lot of really nice eggs today in the mail (they are all in good shape, surprisingly). However, 2 of the eggs have the code "SM" on them for the breed, but I don't know what SM stands for.

They are:

Large in size
Light brown background
Dark speckles all over

Can anyone identify these eggs by color and the code SM please?

Thank you muchly (all the other eggs came with a code list except the SM)

These are some of the breeds that stat with "S" but I think your reading it upside down and actually says "WS" which is short for Welsummer and also Welsummers lay speckled eggs

What kind of chickens lay speckled eggs?

You could check out this thread to find out about your egg.

ROFL - you're right!! I was reading the code upside down and YEP it's WS.
