This is Voodoo, she’s my dorky crooked toe baby. I will not be able to take her to the vet until tomorrow, but an appointment has been made. She has been acting very strange. We have quarantined her from the other ladies. She has been off balance, closing one eye for prolonged periods of time, she doesn’t want to sit or lay down at times. I checked her crop yesterday and it was small (almost nonexistent) we fed her some water with a syringe, and she ended up eating and has pooped a lot. We started vitamin b12 supplement as of 2 days ago as well. I checked her vent, it looks normal but she has some poop on her feathers. I love this girl and don’t want to lose her, any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

HI! @mamiMari

She does look uncomfortable. :(
Did the B12 help with her balance? If not if you have B complex that might work better.
Have you checked her abdomen for any swelling? Do you know when she last laid an egg?
How old is she?

She is almost 7 months old, she laid an egg 2 days ago. We checked her abdomen this morning and there's no swelling. She was quite lethargic 2 days ago but we have seen a slight improvement. She seemed better last night, but her balance is still off.

I am going to put her in some warm water to make sure that she's not egg-bound, but it seems to be the only option I have until we can see the vet.

Also give her some calcium directly in her beak. Calcium citrate with vitamin D is best but even Tums will do in case she does have an egg higher up that she is having trouble passing.

Does she sit with her neck/ head sort of backwards (pic 1) often?

Some vitamin E might be needed if she has wry neck.

Yes, recently she has. She’s using her left eye to look around at things and she’s turning her neck instead of moving her body. Thank you so much, I will get her those vitamins as well

If her eye is injured that could be throwing her balance off and also making it difficult to eat. If you happen to have Terramycin or a plain antibiotic ointment with no pain meds you could put a little of that, or even vaseline on her eye to sooth it.

If you think she will let you gently open it you could check for damage or something in the eye.

Years ago one of mine, as best I could tell, rubbed one eye too much and eventually was blind in that eye for the rest of her life. So she had to re learn to eat because she would go for a piece of food and miss. Or start walking across the yard and then stop and correct course because her depth perception was off.

There is something on her eye. I was able to get a couple pictures, her unaffected eye is perfectly normal and

I looked and I saw this on her eye, not sure if it’s discharge but her good eye doesn’t have this on it.
