Helpful hints for building coops

Oh! I love it! Different toys to ask Santa for! How does an impact driver work? Is it pneumatic? What do torx head screws look like? Are they like 6 sided stars? Thanks for your suggestions!

I have a little Dewalt impact driver that I love. I often predrill a hole with a drill and then drive the screws in withe the impact driver. That way I’m not swapping bits all the time. The torx head screws are also called star head, and they are less like to strip than Phillips head. I much prefer them.

I can't say that we have had any extreme drought,
the rainfall per year seems normal,. while it is raining hard it is easy to imagine that it has never been worse,.
today we are having freezing rain,.
despite all of the rain we had, we still have plenty of snow,.
I went to take a picture of the bridge under water,
by the time I got down there the water was not over the bridge any more, but it was still running across the road,,.

We have been abnormally dry the last couple summers and fall. Earlier and more frequent tornadoes. Had tornadoes a couple weeks ago and tornado watch today.

We finally had some rain, and 2 cold nights. Hoping for more spring like temperatures, but I figure summer temperatures will be here soon.
I went rock hunting 3 days ago, my muscles are still sore. But it was a fun day, and weather was nice.

we have a pair of cardinals building a nest in a flower pot right next to the patio door,. I hope the cat doesn't get around to that side of the house.
sounds like chicks are hard to find in the farm stores,.

Nice pot. Is the color from the glaze, or the way it's fired or both.

Yes, for the most part I use food safe glazes. The raku pieces are not fired hot enough, so they don't hold water. No lead used.
