hen cant seem to control her muscules neck turned around 180 degrees cant stand up

i have a hen i have had for 4 years now she is a game hen, overnite she turned up like this. her head is held 180 degrees she cant stand up dosnt carry her body normally at all acts like her muscules are cramped, will eat and drink if i hold her body in place. been like this for a week. gave her b-12 shots and penacilin shots no improvement. ant help would be appreciated thanks

Sounds like wry-neck or Mereks. You said your chickens twitch in your flock right? Could be neurological.

Pictures please! It could be Marek's, but at this age it normally doesn't show up like this. Unless they have been carriers of it or you have a very virulent strain that has been introduced. Now you haven't said anything about other birds. Are there more? Are they showing any type of symptoms? Check their feed. Are there any clumps in it? Have an 'off' smell? Mold? There have been a bunch of people having issues with the feed having mold in it and this can cause these kinds of symptoms. I have had to return 24 bags in the last 5 months because of this. Also check their house for mold.

i have about 55 adult gamefowl and 25 chicks, all in one coop but in seperate cages. others are fine with the exception of another hen that went down very ill because of the rooster banging her to much she is recovering well just has a leg issue where she dosnt move it very well but no nervous problems, but does have the head twich. as far as the head twitch i think could be ear mites because my chicks did not have it the first couple of weeks i had them in the house but most do now since they been in coop for a few weeks. food looks good no smell. and what is wry neck and how do i treat. thanks for your help

ill try to post picture, i was wathing videos on youtube of birds with wry neck and mine was acting just like that. if merecks wouldnt they die in a week or so. i have noticed she is pooping blackish colored water. this could be from the b12 i gave her but she is not pooping solid jut blackish water and only a few times a day.

Some die in days, others live for months.

i have noticed she is pooping blackish colored water. this could be from the b12 i gave her but she is not pooping solid jut blackish water and only a few times a day.
She only poops a few times a day? Or only poops the blackish water a few times a day? Can you post a picture of her poop?
