Yesterday in the morning I opened coop door and chickens came out. Then one of the rooster pecked on a hen's head and she didn't like it at all. She started fighting with him. Fighting like you see between two rooster where they jump and attack at each other.
It went on for like 30 seconds before another alpha rooster came and chased off the other one.
Today exact same thing happened i.e. he pecked on her head, and she started fighting. What is this behaviour?

I think he just wants to mate. It's just a light peck on head but she is in no mood. She lays egg every alternate day and I think she already likes that alpha rooster although I have seen her mating with this pecking rooster before.

What is this behaviour?
How old is the boy? To me he doesn't sound like a mature rooster, rather an immature cockerel. His hormones have hit to the point he wants to mate but the mature hen is having none of it. When something like that happens with my flock, the hen usually runs to the dominant mature rooster and lets him handle junior. But occasionally the hen will fight him herself and usually win. Or run away if she doesn't win.

If he is an immature cockerel, to me it's just part of raising him in a multiple generational flock. As long as no one is injured it's not a big deal, just chickens being chickens. It sounds like you have a lot of room which greatly reduces the danger.
