My hen has been in isolation for about a month due to an injury that she sustained from our rooster but we’ve already gotten rid of him. She’s been healed but we’ve been struggling to join her back to flock because of the other hens being mean so she’s been inside in a pen.
This morning I went to check on her and she was sprawled out and kept falling over and over and lunging her head forward into the bedding. Before this, she was eating, drinking, and laying fine.
I thought it was from heat and stress so I’ve taken her out and sat her with me to have a fan blowing on her but she still continues to pant.
Symptoms; Not being able to sit properly, lunging body and or head forward, panting, keeping her tail down, jerking and twitching with the lunging, and wanting to just lay down, not wanting to eat or drink even when offered.
She layed recently and I can’t see a difference in her droppings.
