Hen stomping and squatting when I approach

Had a second squatter today. This time, it was one of the gold sex links.

I now have 3 squatting! Only 1 left! Rose was the 1st one about a month ago and she likes to be picked up and the back of her head rubbed. The 2nd one Tulip, shakes when she squats but also likes to be picked up and her head rubbed. The 3rd one Daisey only likes her head rubbed. She doesn't have a full wattles or comb yet and its still pinkish (which is weird). I think I'm getting eggs from all 3 because I find the eggs in different places, on the same day. The 4th one Poppy, also doesn't have a full wattles or comb its pink. She just goes about her business! The 1st one-Rose, is very jealous! She pecks at Tulip and/or Daisey when I put her down. It will be interesting to see how she behaves when all 4 are squatting!

If so, that is the mating-readiness stance. Good sign she is nearing sexual maturity, and yes, eggs should be coming soon

eat the eggs? yes of course, always have little extra for family, neighbors and people at work. love to share this life style with others its my way to show them a thing or to about back yard flocks, or growing herbs and vegetables. Love the reaction I get from children from the rainbow eggs! although I get the same reaction from grown ups as well sometimes....lol..., can you believe most people I work with have never seen a real chicken or ate fresh eggs? Im hoping i can influence other people with sharing a more natural lifestyle, many of them live in condos or high-rises, all they need is a sunny windowsill, clay pot, decent soil and grow some snip and cut herbs or greens for the kitchen. We are most fortunate!...... other people just dont get it!

Sorry, I answered that wrong. Yes, I get eggs from Rose, Tulip and Daisey, not Poppy. And as soon as I typed the original message, today, Poppy squatting and let me pet and pick her up!!! So eggs from her soon!
