I have been giving my hens bread almost daily for years. Have never had any issues. Its mostly wheat. Alot of that thinking is from people who dont know what there talking about. And it gets passed down through the chicken community. No you dont make it there main diet, but a slice per bird per day is just fine. So give it a try your birds will love bread. Dave

If I have left over hamburgers in the fridge, they eat those also. Yes chickens do eat meat. Any left over rice, they gobble it up.

Just curious - do yours ever eat chicken? Mine sometimes get meat but I never give them chicken just cause I feel like that’s betraying them, in a way.

We have a compost. It’s also the chickens fav hangout. If the left overs are not eaten out of the pot then they go in there.

They will eat everything the little savengering dinosaurs. I have fed them tortilla chip crumbs and if they can manage to steal a chicken bone from the dog they will.

What are you going to do when one of your girls develops a taste for feathers? In fact feathers are a purer part or cut of chicken than chicken nuggets are.
