I put mine in an old chick feeder. I have 5 layers right now, and I only add to it perhaps every other week. I do find they don't want to eat it if it gets wet. I use real oyster shell, not the granulated type.

I have heard that some prefer dried crushed egg shells. you can wash out the shells, stick it in the oven for 10 minutes at 250 and then just crush them up with your handsI have two hens that have really fragile egg shells. I put oyster shells in a dog bowl in coop close to feed. I guess they aren’t eating any. Don’t know what else I can do. Any suggestions?
