Heretitary behaviors

Anyone else notice heretitory behaviors from one or more parent in their chicks. I hav one very firendly roo, Houdini. One year old He has always been very friendly, and this year we hatched out eggs and one chick is very much the same. We've been caling it houdini jr.even through it doesn't look quite like him.

I've noticd heretitory behaviors in barn cats and I know aggressive behaviors can be heratitary. be a friendliness like this?
