Hey! New here, looking for Silkie "experts"

He could be a mixed color, maybe blue with red leakage. I've read somewhere that red pyle is just splash with red leakage. Don't quote me, I'm not well versed in genetics.

I know you said don't quote you, but you are correct. There's two types of Red Pyle, There's Splash Pyle(Splash Duckwing), & There's true Red Pyle(Red Duckwing X Dominant White)

He's not Red Pyle though, more likely Splash Partridge(Calico).
Hoovers must be playing with Genetics, my Aunt got a Buff Orpington Cockerel with Barring.

But it's possibly a Calico Princess.

He doesn't have a black beak or black eyes. I've read that is because there are genetics of a nonsilkie in the bloodline. Does that sound correct? His skin color is not dark black like the other silkies I've had.

Beak is gray, still is Fibro. It's more common then you think. Doesn't mean there's been another breed mixed in.
Hoover's only sells the Chinese Silkies which are more of a Landrace, & Largefowl which is common in China

Looks exactly like a buff Orpington, but has started developing barring. He's just abit scrawny though.

Nope, it's actually bars. Split mottled would on occasion have a few spots on the tips.

I see white tips, and it looks very similar to some of the red splits I have here
