Hey everyone, I am Kaitlyn, or you can call me Fox. 
Pleased to finally be posting here.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, my husband and I got our flock from MyPetChicken.com at the end of March this year (2023)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have four chickens, all about 24 weeks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
One of each: Black Australorp, Rhode Island Red, Welsummer, and Salmon Faverolles
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I just love their personalities and watching them interact with each other and us. The fresh eggs are great too!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cooking and baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, to name a few!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Right now it's just my husband and I, our dog Artoo, cat Nox, and the four hens: Esmerelda, Marjoram, Jack, and Sybil (in order of breeds listed above)
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have done a few chicken-troubleshooting searches and always land here looking for info. I had a question regarding one of my birds, so I thought I'd take the plunge and join up.
