Hey everyone! I'm so happy to have found this forum. I joined because I'm a new flock momma and I'm eager to absorb any information I can to better understand my chicks.
I used to help my uncle on his farm for many years with his livestock and garden and I've always wanted a home grown approach into my lifestyle.
I just picked up 10 baby chicks yesterday (Rhode island red bred with buff orpington) and I'm so unbelievably excited for the process. I'm eager to learn the ups and downs and fine tune along the way.
I currently work at Five Below in Pennsylvania as a customer service manager and live on 14 beautiful acres. My journey has taken awhile to get here but coming from a crowded neighborhood in Middlesex County, New Jersey just wasn't serving me and my interests.
I live with my boyfriend, 4 cats, a gargoyle gecko, a tailess whip scorpion, and a beautiful array of fresh water fishies.
Looking to start a garden soon to begin a farm to table lifestyle I've always wanted.
I'm excited to learn and meet everyone.
