Dominic raised a brow in question, at the arrival of Hunter as he walked into the room. "Come, come. Please, have a seat. Kali was telling me about your legends. The story of what she is. She told me you could enlighten me further. I hope for your sake, she's right." He said as he examined a table of torture instruments.

Hunter folded his arms and moved to lean against a wall instead of going to sit anywhere near him and those torture instruments. "You want to know what she is? Understandable given your line of work I suppose. Kali is what we have come to call Fae-wolf. A true descendant of the original Guardians. One of her kind hasn't manifested in over a century, there are no written records of them, only stories that are likely very embellished. Then again, they could all be pure truth, we wouldn't know without having a time machine."

Hunter laughed at that question then shrugged "Could be all that are descended from the pack by now, like I said, it hasn't shown in over a century. We haven't needed it until recently."

"Until then" Anna nodded and fed the ducks for a minute longer. It was good to not leave at the same time, if anyone was watching. She smiled at Zypher and stood beside him, throwing the last few bites then turning to him fully "Shall we go?"

Aeval dreamed fitfully and soon awoke with a start. She tugged at her collar angrily just wanting it off. She got up to look around the room for anything to use to that end. She wanted her Balaur form. Her sisters wanted....no, needed out. They were not supported to be in human form this long. Pandora and Aeval were now fighting for dominance of this one mind and Eva was withering away in the background.

"Like I said, you can thank Marcus for messing up the direct lines of communication and I never said I couldn't get to one of the alphas eventually. What time is it in New York?"

Razeth and Valstath held up the rear to watch for anything that would harm them. The more humans and less trees was unnerving them greatly and feeling vulnerable wasn't helping either. They stared confusion at the things they saw as their heads swiveled to patrol the area in unison.

"It's hard to remember particulars, as she was trying to capture us without killing us, but there was a lot of fighting, and both she and her host were talking to me. I guess that means she can take form if she likes, but I'm not sure of much else. Loosing my gold was rather overwhelming for me. Once they took that, there was no reason to stay and fight any longer," Slygotha responded. She was trying to remember the particulars, but was unsure of certain details. By now, the bustling crowd had entered the main city, with buildings rising like forbidding monoliths above, more cars, cleaner people mixing in as the poor peeled off to sell wares to buyers in the city. Many of the poor fishermen were heading to the fishmarkets to sell to the fishmongers, the farmers to the trade hubs of their specialties. The crowd was evolving into cleaner, higher class folk, with fancy phones, washed hair, and pressed clothes. The dirt was replaced by cement and asphalt.
Nidhogg wrapped an arm around her brood mother's leg. She jammed her thumb into her mouth and started nervously chewing the nail. Her shadow stone waivered in her chest, small tendrils snaking behind her eerily as it responded to her emotional state.
Slygotha patted Nidhogg gently. "Don't loose yourself to fear. We can't reveal ourselves or we are finished here."
Nidhogg sniffled and nodded, still chewing her thumbnail, but she willed the stone back under her control.

She sighed and put a hand to her head and said like she was answering a question from within, "Because I fly the body and do most the work! Oh, one time and I wouldn't call it flying so much as barely controlled falling. I know because Eva told me. FINE! But if you get us killed I'll never forgive you. That doesn't matter, I still won't. " Aeval closed her eyes as Pandora took over. Her whole posture changed as she opened her eyes and looked to Kali with a triumphant smile. "Thank you for that. It was get a little cramped in there." She said with a smile.

Now are you telling me that they do not answer phones after a certain time in America? And here I thought New York was the city that never sleeps. "

Viktor laughed at that as he leaned against the wall and added, "OR they are lazy wolves that sleep during the day and howl all night. Maybe they are wolves of Wallstreet. "
