Hold them like a chicken. It dosent really matter how you old them as long as you are supporting them and they are comfortable.

She seems to be pretty comfortable in the second photo.lol. So just hold them under my arm with their legs sticking out the back. Do i have to hold there necks or anything, I'm talking with runner ducks as they have long necks.

Now not all ducks will allow you to hold them upside down like that. LOL

But like Mike said, hold them like a football Just like you would hold a chicken. You don't need to hold their necks and they may feel uncomfortable with that type of restraint. I rarely ever grab a neck. I don't regularly pick up my birds so I will grab a neck if need be but I think you are looking for more of pet ducks so just get them used to you gently picking them up, restrain wings and hold close.

My runner ducks are not going to be exactly pets but I would like to be able to pick them up with out much if any trouble and I know because they are laying age that it will take longer to form a bond between us but hope it all goes well, thank you all.

Thhe runner that i hold like hes.hugging me is quite tame but its great cos his neck is supported. I hold my other ducks like a chicken thpugh
