For most chores we split, but my poor husband *always* gets stuck with the mopping. I am very, very sensitive to cleaning solutions and other scented things. Very sensitive. XD I only was able to start cleaning counters and stuff when we found this counter cleaner:

It cleans really well, even through thick grease, and has a very mild and pleasant natural citrus smell.

On mopping, we're probably going to have to find a homemade solution. I haven't been able to find anything mild in the stores. The instructions I keep running into mainly call for white vinegar with a bit of lemon juice and some water. Has anyone tried that, and how did it work? Does anyone here use a homemade solution that has little to no fumes and odors (natural lemon juice and vinegar are both fine and dandy with me though), that still works well on keeping floors clean?

Thanks for the redirect. Still waiting for registration email, so if anyone uses 'em on this board, jump in.

I use very few chemicals in my house. I keep Vinegar in spray bottles and use that for almost all surface cleaning. If I need a scouring affect, I use baking powder.

I use white vinegar, yes. I have one bottle diluted half and half and then another spray bottle that's straight vinegar for dirtier things. It has good antibacterial properties and cleans nicely.
